DUNG FINALLY ARRIVES!
Home

Dear Brahma Dung Ananda,

Thank you for your update on your trip to Texas. I can’t tell you how much joy and satisfaction that I had while I read it. Particularly the part about your trip across the desert.

The ashram has settled down to a nice peaceful setting since your departure. Please stay as long as you want to in Texas. I encourage you not to hurry back. Texas needs you! You will do great in Texas! In fact, I believe that you should stay there for years!

Sincerely,

Webmistress

Dearest Webmistress,

I will not correct your short greeting. I realize that you are in mourning over my quick departure. I know how hard all of this is for you. Be not afraid, I will visit you daily in my meditations. Luckily I took some really great pictures of you, Sharing and Crazy Peg doing the nude Dharmic Dance. They are spectacular!

But to continue with my journey here. Once we arrived at Big Springs, Texas, the truck headed up a gravel road for several miles. Then we turned up a dirt road for about a mile. Finally we rumbled to a stop. Outside there was a whole crowd of people yelling Yippee! and Yahoo! In no time at all I was lifted out of the Yugo and carried at arms length over their head by my new servants. I soon found myself in one of those "cleansing ceremonies"...

They deposited me in a huge earthen pond with a huge splash. Almost immediately Peggy Jo and Betty Lou joined me wearing thong Bikinis! They thoroughly washed me from top to bottom. Now I don’t usually like baths, much less cold ones. But these ladies made the whole experience a spiritually enlightening one!

All too soon, I was dragged out and dried off. I was presented with a new robe that had a set of cow horns and cowboy boots embroidered on the back. Then Cletis gave me some brown cowboy boots and a huge white hat!

"You’ll need these here boots in this country!", Cletis stated. "And this here hat will protect you from the hot sun!"

I was deeply moved. I immediately sat down and did a powerful meditation that must have lasted at least two to three minutes! I must say, they held up fine to this powerful outburst of enlightening energy…almost unfazed! "This will be a wonderful group to work with for a while," I thought.

Just then Dusty handed me a cold can. "This here is Lone Star Beer!", he announced as he popped the tab on the top. "The best beer anywhere in the world!"

I reluctantly took a drink… and it really wasn’t bad! Soon everyone was laughing and some of guys pulled out some guitars and a fiddle and started singing some strange, yet wonderful songs! Soon there was a bonfire and the party lasted into the night! The last thing I remember was gazing at a huge pile of Lone Star Beer cans, then I was helped into this fabulous trailer house where I went immediately to sleep.

Today I awoke and got to look around. The trailer is really nice! It is at least three times the size of my humble quarters at RamaLila Cletis was right! They do have electricity. He even set me up with an Internet connection. I am amazed that such a backward country could have such modern technologies!

Outside, there is a bunch of cows that wander up to the earthen pond. The pond is filled by a wind operated pump, called a windmill. It requires no electricity! I suppose that I should expect that considering the primitive country I am living in.

All in all, I think that I am going to like it here.

I hear a pickup coming up the road, so I will sign off for now.

Yours in love and light.. Take care…I know how difficult it is for you to have me so far away.
