Subject: Sense of Illusion
"Other than Consciousness, nothing exists. Whatever you see is your own reflection. It is only through ignorance of your true nature that the nature appears to exist. One who understands with conviction that the universe is nothing but an illusion becomes free of it."

- Ramesh Balsekar

I'm not buying into it - the illusory appearance of life. I'm not going to be concerned with what is real and not real. Because it is all real to me. Why do most spiritual aspirants believe that this world is an illusion? Why do they also aspire to be other than just sentient beings? Why do they aspire to be other worldly? We came into this world with the idea that it is a physical world and besides growing spiritually, we are also to enjoy the physical aspects of it. So why do most aspirants want to run away from that? Isn't everything on this planet a learning lesson? Why does one feel s/he has to go and meditate in a cave in order to realize his/her real Self? It's like being on a rollercoaster ride and thinking only of the mechanics of it instead of enjoying the ride.

What if the only illusion is the illusion of illusion that's in our minds? Like the saying goes: "You're your worst enemy." It all starts and ends within your mind.

What if there isn't just One Reality, but that Reality is as individual as we are! It would change all the rules and preconceived ideas we have on what is real and what isn't. Something to think about...
