Being Mindful - what does it mean? |
A lose quote from one of Rama's early tapes describes being mindful as the meditation you practice when your are not formaly sitting in meditation. Essentially, being focussed on whatever task is at hand and executing with your full attention, without judgement or bias based how important or menial it might appear to be.
I stressed that the above was a lose quote, because that is my personal (and simplified) interpretation of a teaching.
So I'm wondering:
How important is mindfulness? ... in your life? ... at all?
Are there situations where it does/doesn't apply?
Is it more or less important than meditation?
?
