>>> Intrinsic and extrinsic are relative values; Ground goodness is absolute. >>> Doesn't that imply that "absolute" has meaning without a frame of reference? Perhaps this illustrates the origin of such ideas and/or statements like "the Tao that can be expressed is not the true Tao". Which seems to bring us back to the mystical "knowing" truth by becomming it.
>>> Ground goodness is the goodenss that each and every being has by virture of being a radiant manifestation of Spirit, of Godhead, of Emptiness. >>> So icecream can't have Ground Goodness because it isn't a "Being"? (Bugger! I was so sure icecream (and chocolate) was a spiritual experience. :-)
And a "Being" is ... what exactly?
Doesn't this simply create yet another set of dualities, i.e.: living/non-living, sentient/non-sentient and such ... to which yet more interesting properties are assigned.
Does a rock or the planet we live on have any less/more spiritual significance, value or Ground Goodness than say a Buddha? ... I suspect the original Buddha may have answered "no" to such a question.
