unmanifested is really real |
HI, just the mechanics of this board, it is easier to carry forward to the top a thread as to not get lost in the responses to and responses to responses to the responses etc, so I carry forward and put on top for ease of reading etc. ##########################################################
Rama was quoting from Shakespeare >>
The quote is better with its context restored:
Hamlet: Denmark's a prison. Rosencrantz: Then is the world one. Hamlet: A goodly one; in which there are many confines, wards and dungeons, Denmark being one o' the worst. Rosencrantz: We think not so, my lord. Hamlet: Why, then, 'tis none to you; for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so: to me it is a prison. (Hamlet, Act II, scene ii)
I, Henry, agree with Hamlet. I personally believe that the world is a prison and my goal is to be free of the prison earth. I believe that the Gnostics felt or taught this way also. That there are basically 2 gods, the god of matter who created our physical body and the physical world. This lesser god is the god of the Old Testament. However, there is a higher god, the god of Spirit, who is the true God, or is our true being. That the goal of the Gnostics was to achieve our or their original states of being, in our spiritual form, which transcends the earth plane and the god of the Jews. Actually, I understand that the Gnostics did not believe that the god of the Jews and early Christians was really god. Gee, I wonder why the Christians killed off the early Gnostics. In short, I understand that the Gnostics believed that the earth was a prison created by lesser god. I agree. My goal is to reach higher than any god, that my state of being is higher than the Jewish god or the Christian god. I never ever got the feeling that "Rama was a Christian" ever. I believe and have experienced with Rama the "void" which is higher than anything, even the western gods. In the void, when the room disappeared, with Rama, nothing of earth mattered, it was all-meaningless, and there was no good or evil, no happiness as defined by earth norms. It was, to me it felt as if the world did not exist or if it existed, it was as a grain of sand on the beach. If the earth does not exist, or if one is somewhere where there is no earth, then what of earth values, of happiness or sadness, of good and of bad? I could ask others, when in Meditation with Rama, and seeing many Hindu gods and other beings, etc, then the Room disappeared, the highest I felt was when the room appeared to disappear. I felt a certain feeling when the room {earth} was gone, and it is this feeling of my own experience that I am trying to find words for. I assume others saw lots of beings and gods and goddess etc, but what of the void where there was nothing, nothing at all. I understand and felt that the highest in meditation is this nothingness, that nothingness is higher and more real than any thing in manifestation. Even Guru May of Siddha Yoga said this once, that “nothing is higher than any King or God, the No-Thing is the highest. The unmanifested is the most and the higher reality. I understand that in the unmanifested there is no good or bad or no other dualities. The unmanifested is more real than any thing manifested is what I feel. Henry
