Zazen |
Hi,
I remember the night that we were all to thank Zazen for the music they created and Rama told us to just bring them flowers - and I still reflect on that evening and wonder if my original take was correct - and that night I thought Rama wanted to sort of back-handedly punish Zazen for some reason when he asked us all to pay them with flowers.
This payment of flowers came at a time when the majority of us were making a ton with our computer consulting and the musicians were working under tight deadlines and pressure from Rama to produce hit-quality music.
I guess I thought at the time that they must have done something wrong - it seemed like Rama was ad libbing when he said we were going to honor Zazen - then he came up with the idea of only flowers where we had the ability to give them a few hundred each and that would have really helped them out and they would have liked it. But instead Rama (who seemed to make it up as he went) said everyone give them flowers - lots of flowers. The night of the flowers, they had smiles on their faces but I saw that they would have preferred a few hundred dollars from each of us.
Was this one of Rama's Marpa the Translator moment where he was too harsh on the members of Zazen? noah |
