Re: Question about Rama's teachings |
I'd say some central themes from Rama's teachings that I brought away were: contemplate real love, truth & enlightenment, be authentic and honest with oneself, become a warrior of light, what you focus on you become so focus on positivity and freedom from all limitations, don't get stuck in ideas about yourself dreamed up by yourself or others, don't be afraid of your dark side, always be a student of life, meditate, be mindful, put energy into your life but don't get cocky, be humble, give back to the universe, never give up, and a billion other lessons.
He said sometimes: "Meditate every day and exercise every day and you can accomplish anything". I feel like when I met Rama I was such a baby emotionally, mentally, spiritually, etc. Even in terms of functioning in the physical world I was very naive and inept. But Rama taught us how to be very grounded in the physical world while keeping our hearts and minds focused on enlightentment. You will see your life change when you start to meditate, exercise, and put energy in your work with your mind and heart focused on enlightenment. |
