We were all very fortunate that we had exceptional teachers in our lives who did hold us up, like a father would hold up his child at a passing parade, so the child can get a better view. That is what our teachers did for all of us. They gave us a view of life that we wouldn't have ordinarily seen. The Buddha was an exceptional being, because they say he achieved enlightenment by himself. But for most of us, we do need divine intervention in order to achieve a higher state of awareness and reach self realization.
So, this is just a friendly reminder to not forget, and give thanks, to all the teachers that have touched our lives - without whom we would not have reach the level of awareness we now possess. |
