Re: techy subtle body question... |
As an acupuncturist, I've noticed that it is fairly common for people to be a little spaced out after a treatment. Certainly the focus of acupuncture treatment is to clear(or tonify) the energetic channels in the body, so it is affecting more than the physical level of the body.
I believe e-stim actually provides an augmentation to acupuncture that is even more Western in nature. It contracts the muscles, however slightly, to help relax them further. I'm not sure that it affects the subtle body anymore than acupuncture alone, but it certainly has a nice affect with problems such as you described.
My recommendation is for you to find methods of regrounding yourself that work for you. One method is exercise - earthy pursuits like running or martial arts can help you snap back into your body again. Sometimes food - heavy proteins like beef can also do the trick. In seminars, we would sometimes have a little bit of sugar to achieve the same effect.
I wouldn't get too preoccupied with the tendency to space out after treatment. Chances are you have been very tired and this is a way to discover how much stress you carry in your body. I would just start focusing on ways to reground yourself after treatment and everyday.
I hope that helps! |
