Feng Shui aka Occultism 101 |
I came across this book recently called "The Declutter Workbook: 101 Feng Shui Steps to Change Your Life". It is basically a step-by-step instruction guide on how to clear up clutter in your life.
Now these are principles that Rama taught us - clean your closets, throw out old stuff, release the past - but she presents it with a detailed approach. For example, she will name a room like "Kitchen" - identify the estimated number of hours to finish the project, then give a list of activities to declutter. Like, "throw out chipped china", "donate any unused equipment", etc.
For those of us that have stopped moving every six months like in the old days, it is easy to fall back into "obtaining" a lot of stuff. This is a non-intimidating way of approaching that task - with lots of ideas and pretty pictures to boot!
And if you have already successful kept to the "declutter" mindset Rama taught - this book might be a gentle introduction to someone interested in self discovery. The last chapter is entitled "Declutter Your Mind" and includes tips like "making a list of people that drain you"!
All in all, I found this to be a bright, helpful book and wanted to pass it along. |
