Subject: Re: The Expat Café - Business As Usual
In the spirit of revisioniest history - I think it went down a little more like this...Bush announced that other countries would not be able to bid on business in Iraq.

After getting thundering boos from those countries (and quite a few in his own country), they "revised" the story to say - "No we are not greedy, we are *punishing* you - that's it! We are not lining Dick Cheney's pockets, we are *being just*".

Right. Well, the only thing that keeps my spirits up is knowing that on the NYT best seller list - two still hold on the top ten, Michael Moore's "Dude, Where Is My Country" and the book I just finished, Al Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liars that Tell Them". So, there is still hope.

Of course, also on that bestseller list is Bill O'Reilly's "Who Is Looking Out For You?". Or should I say, that is the second time he appears...he's also on the cover of Al Franken's book!
