Wonders of the World, part deaux |
In thinking about the wonders of the world, it came to mind there are some seemingly 'outrageous' wonders that 'we' take for granted on this planet. And interestingly, what can 'begin' in wonder, can 'end' in 'wisdom' or insight into 'your' existence. On some 'level' all of these wonders are 'true'--even to the extent that the latest theories of science even tend to back them up in one way or another.
#1 There is really no 'one' in the world.
There is no 'one' looking out of 'your' eyes but Consciousness. There are billions of human beings, but not one single 'soul' amongst them. There is absolutely nothing that is perceived or conceived of that is actually 'you'.
#2 There is no free will.
If number one is true on some 'level', then there is no 'one' who makes any choices. It has been shown scientifically that all the actions 'we' take credit for are the result of an electro-chemical process of a nervous system that 'we' aren't even 99 percent consciously aware of.
#3 Everything is unfolding exactly the way it is supposed to.
In some way, everything is happening perfectly because no matter what happens in the course of 'your' life--no matter how much you try to change or improve on any 'level', 'you' always find yourself right where 'you' are.
#4 Nothing is really happening.
It's a wonder with all the countless dramas going on in the minds of all the billions of people, that everything is a manifestation of Consciousness. Consciousness which can neither be created nor destroyed. It can't be destroyed because it was never created.
#5 It's always Now.
It's a wonder that no matter how much time seems to pass it's always Now. You could wear a watch with just the word Now spelled on the face, and in some way it is completely true.
#6 Humans invent an 'afterlife', a 'God', a 'Source'.
It's a wonder that countless words have been written to describe something, and to strive for something, that ultimately doesn't even exist outside of the words for it.
#7 There are ultimately no dualities.
It's a wonder that there is actually no 'inside' or 'outside', because there is infinity in either 'direction'. There is no right or wrong, good or bad because all are in the mind of a perceiver 'who' is just an abstraction of thoughts.
