Subject: The 'Now'
Everyone talks about being in the 'Now.' What exactly is 'Now?' Aren't we in fact speaking of Infinite Awareness? And if 'Now' is ever-changing, then how can we experience something that is ever-changing? It seems to me that we can't be really in the 'Now' because at any point, 'Now' is changing. So, in truth, there isn't a 'Now.' It is more of a changing awareness that is constantly moving. As the saying goes: "The only constant in life is change," so, where is this 'Stillness' point that all the sages and books speak of? Isn't it in fact a 'Stillness' that is at the same time moving? I think the only 'Stillness' is our awareness point of awareness. When we 'stop' to become aware, then there is a kind of stillness. We experience Nirvana and it seems like a stillness point. But it's like putting your foot in a running stream: only your foot feels the point of contact, so it seems like a stillness, but in essence the river is constantly moving. Only your experience of your foot in the running stream is a still point. You might say you can feel the running water, and rightly so, because it is moving. But the point of entry is your stillness, because you stopped the flow in order to feel it.

So, it is kind of deceiving to say that there is a 'stillness' and it is the 'Now' of it that gives us this stillness. Life is not still, it is constantly moving. We get the stillness feeling when we become aware of it. If we weren't aware of it, it would be just flowing.
