Affirmations I Have Loved |
1. I am freed from suffering. 2. I rejoice in that gathering of virtue that is the cause for the arising of the Way of Peace. 3. I rejoice in the Way of Peace, which liberates all beings from misery, and in the deeds that bring great benefit to all. 4. I am the doctor, the medicine, and the nurse for all sick beings in the world until there is an end to suffering. 5. I willingly give up my body, enjoyments, and all the merits that I have accrued for the sake of all beings. 6. My transgressions end the suffering of all beings. 7. I benefit every person who encounters me. 8. I am a protector for those without one and a guide for all travelers on the Way of Peace. 9. I always obtain births where I can practice and obtain merits for the benefit of the world. 10. I live and find sustenance with simple and healthy foods. 11. I live to dispel the misery of the world for as long as space endures and for as long as living beings remain. 12. I continuously support and honor the Way of Peace, and I will ensure that it abides until there is an end to suffering. 13. I never waver and I always exert myself so that I never stray from the Way of Peace. 14. I have defeated my enemies: hatred, laziness, and desire, and they are slain before my eyes. 15. I have overcome the fear within my heart and I resolutely Seize the Way. 16. I am peaceful and I love life. 17. I successfully complete all of my undertakings. 18. Whenever there is attachment in my mind and whenever there is anger, I remain like a stone. 19. Whenever I have distracted thoughts, the desire to abuse others, feelings of self-importance or self-satisfaction, I remain like a stone. 20. When I have the intention to gossip, the thought to deceive, or whenever I am eager for praise, I remain like a stone. 21. Whenever I have the desire to blame, the wish to speak harshly or cause dispute, I remain like a stone. 22. Whenever I desire material gain, honor or fame, whenever I seek attendants or a circle of friends, and when I wish to be served, I remain like a stone. 23. Whenever I wish to decrease or stop working for others and pursue my own welfare, I remain like a stone. 24. Whenever I have impatience, laziness, cowardice, shamelessness, or the desire to talk nonsense, I remain like a stone. 25. I am a friend and counsel to the world; and my demeanor is pleasant and approachable. 26. I am a pupil to everyone, and I gratefully accept words that wisely advise and admonish me. 27. I discreetly talk about the good qualities of others and repeat those that others recount. If someone speaks of my own good qualities, I am only aware that I have them. 28. I speak clearly and pleasantly from my heart about what is relevant. 29. I see God in every person that I interact with. 30. I consider what is of the most benefit for others and always strive for their welfare. 31. I will not harm, or allow to be harmed, this body for only a slight benefit, since I am using it for the Way of Peace. 32. I dedicate everything, both meritorious and unwholesome, toward the Way of Peace. 33. I will never forsake a spiritual friend, even at the cost of my life. 34. I will not allow whatever befalls me to disturb my equanimity. 35. I purify evil by patiently accepting the suffering that arises. 36. I strive for the meritorious in order to bring about loving thoughts between all. 37. I am happy to have an enemy for he assists me along the Way of peace. The greater the enemy, the more firmly I am established in the Way of Peace. 38. My mind is constantly strengthened by enthusiastic exertion. 39. I proceed from joy to joy, and never lapse into despondency. 40. I apply myself to wholesome actions and overcome all obstacles with self-confidence. 41. I do proper things in all situations. 42. I continuously settle my mind in equipoise through Meditation. 43. I accept others as they are. 44. I will not let conceit or the feeling that I am wonderful arise. 45. I am in God and God is in me. All beings have the same God-nature. Because God permeates each atom of the universe. 46. I am neither empty nor full; pure nor impure. I am free of practice and realization. I am free of karma. I do not observe precepts. I do neither good nor evil. I am neither energetic nor lazy. I do nothing; not even focus on God. I am not this and I am not that. 47. I do not strive for realization. I have no strength or form. I neither possess the mind nor have I ever lost it. Its unstoppable power penetrates and permeates the entire universe. 48. I am this mind called God, whose capacities are limitless and whose manifestations are inexhaustible. At every moment, where language cannot go, that is mind, that is God. That is my true nature. 49. My true nature is the mind. Although I am not the owner of the mind, I share it with all beings. 50. I transmit only mind.
