Re: The Reluctant Representatives |
It has been 13-years since I studied with Rama. When I left all those years ago, I was frustrated and angry. I became aware of stories about some of Rama's exploits and am fairly certain they were true. I also know of cases where the stories grew over time (along with the story-tellers nose).
One of the beautiful things about time, is the opportunity to gain perspective. I know what the trajectory of my life was before I met Rama. I have been home again, and visited my friends from the old days. It is true, you can never go home.
I have also seen the trajectory my life took after studying for six years.
I don't talk that much about those six years, except with old friends who have been there. No one else would really understand. It is sort of like talking about war with people who have not been there...they don't understand.
What I do know is that Rama was my teacher, and he inspired me to undertake the most difficult of tasks. I remain more inspired than ever, even after all of these years. The fire still burns hot. |
