Subject: Freedom
Liberation, self-realization, freedom from the thoughts that bind us to our limitations.

Perceptions are perceptions, seeing is limited by our bias, perceptions, state of mind, thinking.

Is the magic that was part of our experience with Rama partially related to our ability to shift awareness and "see" from different angles? I think it is.

So all these disjointed "thoughts" are leading to a question. Is it important to nurture the ability to stand and view the world and its people from different perspectives? Seems to me there is a mechanism that we all possess that binds us to "our" perspective. Doesn't seem to matter if "we" are spiritual types or not, "we" are invested in our "views" of the world, and we see them as correct. When our views, beliefs, systems or cosmologies dictate our perceptions, we step back into the world that "is" according to us.

So, can we step out of that mechanism and be free? Huh?

An observation that will undoubtly draw "unfriendly fire". Board talk here, from my perspective, is genererous and tolerant religiously, with some exceptions, but pointedly bias politically. Just an observation.

I remember Rama saying in a lecture, "So if you are simultaneously liberal and conservative you can practice tantric zen." Not the exact words, but that was the jist.
