Strangely enough, a restaurant in the Hollywood hills called Yamashiro. It is *literally* an old Japanese palace disassembled there and rebuilt in L.A., with a killer view of the entire basin (when you can see it because of the smog). One can sit on the porch of an 18th-century Japanese palace, order sushi and sake and have a pretty smokin' samurai meditation.
