Yeah, I would agree that in general egos are gigantic. There might even be truth in the male ego comment. Ya think? ON the other hand, if you step out of the tradtional male/female roles, or even if you don't, female egos are pretty huuumongous also.
I think motherhood teaches, and fatherhood teaches a little about selfless giving, but mom and dad get caught up in the ego thing about little Tommy, and poor Tommy can become thing to stroke the ego.
Thing is, we all need egos to function in the world, and then at some point we dissolve ourselves in meditation (maybe), and then the ego gets a rude "awakening". Just the way it is. I would not take it personally though, You got an ego, I got an ego, all God's children got an ego. Unless, of course, they don't!
