Subject: Warrior and PeaceMaker
I don't really see the problem here. A person who is peace loving, who prays for peace, and meditates for enlightened awareness can also "see" the time to apply the warrior persona.

Arjuna learned a lesson from Krsna regarding the battles to be fought. Rama certainly taught us that there were dark times ahead, and taught us to be warriors.

Each person's path"way" is different. Ghandi is a model to consider. However, when I see the unbalanced male energy in the scenes from the middle east, and hear of the repression of woman and the killing and torture imposed by the Taliban, I am inclined to agree that invoking the power of the warrior is timely, and correct.

I have watched, listened and read a lot, like all of you, in this month. I believe I was most impacted by the images of the towers imploding, and the New Yorkers' strength of character and community, which has extended beyond the city to the nation. When I recently heard some Afgan women who are refugees in the USA speak about the atrosities they endured I felt the warrior stirred within.

I love peace, but you know, I think freedom is most important. Most!

What would have happened 50 years ago if someone had said "NO!" to China when they began killing the Tibetan Monks??? Perhaps the world would be a better place today, filled with a lot more light. I know this comparison is not analagous, but ya got to wonder.
