Subject: What is unattachment?

A Tibetan teacher I saw recently posed a question regarding the nature of Buddhist unattachment:

Is it 'avoiding the trap' of attachment by refusing to commit to anything or believe in anything?

Or is it commiting *completely* to one's beliefs for as long as they seem productive and then walking away from them without attachment when they no longer do?

He didn't express an opinion on the subject. But I'll bet he had one. Do you?

:-)
