Rose Colored Glasses |
First, Rose is a great color to filter the world. Softens it a bit.
Second, and more importantly, the latest posts have brought a question to mind. In my current state of mind, I can ONLY perceive the world one way. If I shift states of mind, then I can ONLY perceive the world from that vantage point. My world, which is based upon my perception of the world, is dependent upon my state of mind, my awareness.
The question. If meditation and mindfulness expand my awareness, then is my perception of the world expanded, like a wide angle lens?
Question 2: Is communication about our experiences futile because we are all standing in our own perceptions, wearing our own prescription of Rose Colored Glasses? |
