Touching the Silence |
I have been pondering the questions regarding the enlightenment of women, and men. I think something UT struck a chord with me. It was something in a recent thread. My paraphrase will be a little off, sorry UT. He said he wasn't interested in the amount of light or phenomenon surrounding a teacher. He was more interested in the silence of the meditation.
It is not easy to define what draws a student to a teacher. I think the most important reason I sat with Rama so often was because of the meditation. Touching the silence, experiencing that rare level of love and truth, just doesn't get much better than that. It was easy for me to touch that space when I sat with Rama, in person, or from a distance. Still is, sometimes.
Each of us has a different take on the "concept" of the enlightened, and enlightenment. I am curious about what you have experienced, and curious about Rama's students. Some are teaching, many are practicing. Just wondering if you have met any who help you touch the silence??????
