Be absorbed |
Yogini, I was wondering today whether there was anything I could do, anyone that *anyone* could do, to ease your questioning and remind you that enlightenment does, in fact, exist.
I found something. I was duping a few early Rama tapes ( don't tell anyone :-) for a dear friend who asked me to do so, when I put on the one that is, to the best of my recollection, only the second audio tape Rama ever recorded and distributed. As I remember, he gave it away free to all of his students, or to anyone who asked for it.
It's a talk called 'Spiritual Absorption,' and boy! was he absorbed.
And boy! can I still feel that absorption, nineteen years later. It's like, in order to do justice to the subject, he felt he had to shift himself into nirvikalpa samadhi and then give a talk from that place. Listening to it cuts through even *my* world-weary cynicism and makes me remember that, at least for the time required to record this tape, enlightenment existed, and therefore exists today.
