Subject: Re: Chakras
I have not personally seen any other colours associated with any particular Chakra - these seem to be universal from my experience. There is a difference, though, in the areas of focus on the Chakras. I have done meditations where we are guided to focus on groups of Chakras in unisen - for instance in Tibetan Buddhism I have come across a concentration of the Chest-Throat-Third Eye. I am not sure, but I suspect, perhaps that is what Rama is getting at when he instructs us to focus just below the navel, as this activates the first 3 chakras in unisen, although it does not seem to locate with any specific Chakra from the Hindu tradition. Whatever the case, I have tried these variations of focus many times and all do the trick.

(another student may be able to shed more light on this about Rama than moi)
