to lineage, or not to lineage? |
Would anyone believe someone, from Rama's generations of students, if he/she became enlightened and stepped into the teaching infrastructures or schools of the West and East?
Would the infrastructures/schools be likely to support him/her, or to just carry on by themselves? Have the East/West structures given a little thought to this? Is there supposed to be a continued lineage here, or just scattered students and individual efforts to enlightenment?
I ask this to try and understand the mindset of many of the leaders, teachers, organizers, or "old" ones in this tantric path under Rama. What would happen if an enlightened master arised from our midst, and would we find coherence under him/her, or remain as we are?
This question(s) has been bugging me for quite some time now, since I do consider Rama's teachings as a lineage in America (and the modern world)that must acknowledge the possibility of passing the flame/torch of enlightenment in subsequent teachers. It all seems too chaotic for me to think that this massive Scattering (read Dune God Emperor) after his death was intended to remain chaotic after a while.
Well, this is a question(s) that must be more on the minds of the later generations of Rama than on the first, since the later ones must be somewhat curious (and other students must be definitely Aching) to be able to meet an embodied enlightened master and the beauty and empowerment he/she can represent to the whole lineage.
I really hope we could address this somehow in this board, in terms of what makes sense to each of us. Thanks:)
