Subject: possibilities and initiates
i know very little of rama, his organization's pre mortum infrastructure and less even of his activities, both spiritual and mundane. But the beckoning question in my mind is this:

With so many students initiated en masse over the few years i was with him, and with the countless others that predated my 'second' generation, can it be understood why not one student has become enlightened?

Twenty years have passed, twenty, since he became enlightened. An enlightened master is a powerful catalyst for those around, not to mention his initiated students...so why has it been so long and yet no final results?

I ask this because of statistics and probability, not subjectively. Traditional buddhist and hindu masters admit students at a very selective handful and among these, only the predestined few are identified by the master to have the full potential for full liberation. This can be evidenced by rama's own experience with his master, which told him he was the predestined student with the full capacity of enlightenment in this lifetime. Milarepa and all other examples of this case are found in the traditional east.

However, rama, being the tantric master that he is...involved a massive amount of students in the twenty years as illumined teacher. I have heard figures of more than half a million direct initiates in the US and outside. If this is true (and my experience with him for a few short years in the second generation leads me to easily assume it is), then we are talking about a VERY interesting ratio of full potentiates among his initiates. Probably from 5 to even 50, that come capable of full liberation in this lifetime. Minimum 5 (which would still be a phenomenon).

So i then ask, what is the normal average cycle for illumination in the tantric teachings? Considering how exquisitely extreme the teachings of rama were, i would have to put a range of 7-12 years. 12 as a maximum since that is the number used most by the bodhissatvas of the east. These bodhissatvas were all pretty much unconventional so i figure that would be a good benchmark for a max. For the minimum, well, i figure that it is sensical to assume that not even the most extreme of cycles could reduce the neccesary span to half of the needed 12 for the average bodhissatva.

So, i figure twenty years have passed and: no results? can't be. By results i mean full illumination, not "almosts". where are they, the destined potentiates of this illumined master of ours?

Do they lie veiled, already enlightened but waiting for something? What would you do, if you closed the breach of your enlightenment cycle to its fullest? Would you lie hidden, or present yourself to the cadre of other students that would benefit from the fruits of an illumined tree?

Are there any enlightened out there? If so, would you present yourselves to the needed or remain in karmic dormancy in the midst of this kali yuga?

There are enough meditation teachers in the list of this organization...those that claim enlightenment would only have to reach out to this existing infrastructure and help out all the others, don't you think?
