I thought I saw a ! |
I did! I saw a !
Driving round those curved national park roads, winding through the scrubby eucalyptus and gazing down at the gold rocks jutting out over green water, I glanced at the side of the road and saw a lyre bird. It was startled by the car and darted into the bush. I was sorry that our noise should frighten this shy, beautiful creature...it was a special moment though - and I too took it for a sign, it was meant to be.
You have to be silent to stay with the lyre bird, YOU may even not have to be there if you want to be with it forever. |
