Subject: Martial Arts or not?
I enjoyed and tried a couple of styles of karate for a
few months only, several years ago at the
recommendation of Rama (via his students). I stopped
going!

However, the last time I saw Rama he said that I
should try yoga. I may have assumed incorrectly that he meant I should not be doing martial arts. Now, when I think of martial arts I
cannot but help feeling like it is too hard, and
violent (for me), after a couple of bad teachers it can put you off.

Have I become soft and am I missing a vital teaching, or is there a 'yoga'/'peaceful'cycle aswell as the warrior one?

Are there any students where Rama said specifically said they did not have to do martial arts...?? although since exposing my question to a martial artist I have had a realisation that I may have been taking the easy route!
