I had the same affect with a close friend who had extreme HBP.
I had him sit with me and attempt to meditate. Breathe with him and sometimes if the situation was urgent hold their hand or place the hand on the top of the head. And amazingly the the blood pressure drops.

This is significant to know because if the the blood pressure rises or stays high a person could be at risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
And if you teach I imagine not all your students are under 35.

The way a few medical professionals train them to lower the blood pressure is to meditate on the hand and attempt to increase the heat produced in the hand, though some sophisicated clinics now teach or promote simple meditation.
