Children and Meditating |
Here's one for the group of us: The other day I was just hanging out with a darling 10 year old gal and her dad; he's a student of Rama also. While the topic was never brought up or discussed, this young lady surprised us both with a "Say, let's meditate, want to?"
Hmmm. So we certainly did! Two short but very focused sessions. My question is, since Rama never really dealt with the young, waiting until they were over 18 years of age to allow them to actively participate in the program, how does one approach the delicate levels of youthful meditation?
I only wish, in a way, that I had had the opportunity to begin meditating at such an early age, but alas, those times were not these times. Any ideas on, if and when the situation arises, how we respond to today's young people who have the advantage of exposure to the light through so many media sources and are willing to go for it at such early ages?
Much appreciated!
