Yagna, after a fashion |
The little place in Malibu, where I passed so much sadhana - is gone... what's really poignant is that, 'tuned' to the local news via the Net - I actually watched it burning, as the helicopter circled...
Of course I haven't lived there in years, and it went through at least two owners since, but still - the highs and brilliance and darkness and lows that were experienced there, the sounds it made in winter and summer, it's cranky ill-designed fireplace, the generations of canyon critters that came to visit, the long steep driveway and impossible-to-find directions I used to recite for guests - the awsome, velvet quiet in the late evenings....
sigh!
Now if we can just get a little more rain/snow up in Tahoe....
