A Halloween Incident (spooky but a touch of humor) |
Theatre Partygoers OK after disco ball falls from ceiling
(Source - Petaluma California Newspaper - Wed. October 31, 2007)
"In a twist that surely lived up to the billing for Saturday's "Spooky Chicken" bash at the Phoenix Theater, the venue's disco ball fell to the floor and slightly injured two people.
Just as the After Midnight band began to play at the Petaluma Chapter of Realtors' annual pre-halloween event, the styrofoam ball covered in fake mirror glass came crashing down.
It hit a local man on the shoulder, bouncing off and striking a Novato woman on the side of the hea, Realtor Robert Ramirez said.
. . . . .
Everybody's fine Ramirez said.
The ball had been hanging from the supposedly haunted theatre's ceiling for at least 20 years, observers said.
"I guess it just decided this was the night," Ramirez said." |
