Subject: Birders Learn In the Moment Techniques
I love birds, and as a result have read many bird books/articles by birder types. I notice they all seem to acquired 2 skills:
1. Being in the moment
2. Detachment.

When out in the field sighting birds, they say, "See that? see that one?" Then the bird flies away. The birders, however, have had their 'moment' and they may or may not discuss it later.

Some folks go so far as to feed the birds and watch them from their breakfast table as the birds feed in the rays of first sunlight, etc. Then one day all the clients to their feeder suddenly up and migrate! Bye bye! And thanks for all the seeds!

Being in the moment and detachment can't be that difficult for those of us seeking enlightenment. Birders do it every day.

In the moment.
