Emptiness |
Emptiness is to be without intrinsic value.
In America, many view the offshoring of our IT jobs to India as bad. In India, those jobs are improving the lifestyles of many people and they view that as a good thing. One persons good thing is another persons bad thing. Things are empty of intrinsic meaning.
Some say that Rama was a cult leader and view that as bad. They scorn his teachings because of that badness. Others called Rama their teacher and felt that was good. Once again, there is no good or bad intrinsic value in Rama's actions. There is only the karma that spreads outward from his passing. As his birthday approaches, remember what you learned from him. It is no small thing.
