Tara

She stands in the stamen
Of a lotus flower,
One hand extended,
Softly surrounded
By light.

Tara, golden goddess
Making me cross
Over.

Softly, let me go
Strangely, I already know her
Wisdom and beauty
My heart's history.

Tara, in a lotus flower
Perfumed perfection.
Sea tunes,
Dolphin squeals,
Rainbow songs,
Japanese waves;
Temples turn to
Golden dust.

Tara, feminine – beyond lust
How you steal my hope
And braid it into air
Tara in the pond
With Buddhas in your hair
.
