Adrift

I feel dizzy with it
Swollen heart
Cushions my mind
Waves of beauty
Wash over me
Wash me clean
Each thought
Is an intrusion
Is to recognise
An illusion
Nothing lasts
For this moment
I ride the water
To the shore
Left up on the beach
On the crystal sand
Exhausted
Let the rocks
Stay where they are
Let the seaweed
Dry out
Let the salted wind
Crack me open
Let the crabs
Crawl on my skin
Let the ocean
Pull me back
In again
Adrift
Complete
