Poem for the Month of June, 2001

"I am Wind"
by
Virginia Marie Swift

I am wind
I come from an unknown place
and go forth on the earth.
I bring the rain
I bring the sun
I talk to the trees
and they talk to me
I may take a rest
but I never stop
I fill the earth
from bottom to top
my heart loves the sky
the sea is my friend
fire needs me
or it will end.
I am wind.
